Stainless Steel 310 Tubes

SS 310 tubes are offered to combine high temperature attributes, weldability, ductility, and more. The grade is weldable with all types of standard welding operations such as arc welding, fusion welding, resistance welding, TIG, MIG, etc. Mainly, these tubes are developed for the higher temperatures applications. It has the oxidation resistance in continuous service temperatures up to 1150 deg C. these tubes are also used for service in the fluctuating temperatures up to 1040 deg C.

The carbon content of alloy increase strengthens the temperature bearing strength. It is the austenitic grade having great excellent toughness even lower to cryogenic temperatures; however, other grades get fail in these temperatures. It has about 0.03% of carbon content. In manufacturing section of Stainless Steel S31000 Seamless Tubes, the alloy is formed at the temperatures up to 970 deg C to 1175 deg C. large scale production is performed in temperatures up to 1050 deg C. surface finishing operations are performed to attain a high range of tubes. The machinability of SS grade is the same as the machinability of conventional grades. The method of achieving toughness and strength may cause defects on structures. However, it is overcome by work hardening operations through adequate cut depths, standard speeds, and feeds. This results lower in machining costs.
