Product details
Stainless Steel S32100 Seamless Pipes are the chromium-nickel austenitic steel alloy pipe that is stabilized with titanium content. These pipes are generally used for services in the temperature range of 1000-1600 degree F. Furthermore these are applicable those circumstances that involve regular and intermittent service temperature within carbide precipitation range of 800-1500 degree F. However the presence of stabilized titanium minimizes and prevents carbide precipitation at the time of welding and in 427-816 degree C.
This alloy of pipes features superior resistance to general corrosion in comparison to other range. Therefore it shows excellent resistance to Intergranular corrosion at elevated temperature. Furthermore, these also resist oxidation up to 816 degree C and offers superior high-stress rupture and creep properties. The pipes have good low-temperature toughness and also resist polythionic acids and stress corrosion cracking in soaring temperatures. The pipes are highly resistant to sterilizing solutions, atmospheric corrosion and many various organic and inorganic chemicals.
Basically, the pipes are not hardened by thermal treatment but the hardness and strength of the pipes in substantially increased through the cold working process. However, the pipes are solution treated at a temperature range of 950 -1120 degree C and get rapidly cooled for obtaining maximum corrosion resistance. In addition for obtaining stressed relief, these are heated up to 1290 degree F for 1 to 2 hours and are air cooled. These are readily drawn and formed, similarly with the standard welding practices the pipes are easily welded and possess superior weldability.
