Stainless Steel S30400 Seamless Pipes is the most versatile and widely used ranges that are highly demanded in the market due to its great features and aspects. This grade of pipes is austenitic stainless steel pipes that have a minimum 18% of chromium and 8% nickel content in addition to it includes carbon content also. Thus these pipes are also recognized as 18/8 stainless steel pipes. The pipes exhibit good resistance to corrosion in many corrosive environments. Due to the presence of chromium content, it shows superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high-temperature circumstances. The pipes demonstrate good resistance to crevice and pitting corrosion in warm chloride environments. However, these are subject to stress corrosion cracking above 60 degree C. In addition to the pipes shows good oxidation resistance in intermittent service up to 870 degree C. While on the other hand in regular service these shows resistance up to 925 degree C. Moreover the pipe includes nitrogen content that possesses superior strength to the steel. The austenitic structure of these pipes enables excellent mechanical strength in comparison to other grades. The pipes ensure excellent ductility, toughness and hardness along with good corrosion resistance. With the standard fabrication tools and equipment, the pipes are fabricated. Therefore these are annealed at a temperature range of 1010 to 1120 degree C and are quickly cooled in water or air. In addition, to carry out the best corrosion resistance the final annealing must be done above 1070 degree C and get rapidly cooled. After that these are stress relieved at a temperature range of 450-600 degree C. Furthermore the pipes are hot and cold worked, thus cold working requires intermediate annealing stage in order to improve work hardening and avoid cracking and tearing.
The Welding of these SS DIN 1.4301 Welded Pipes is done by the use of standard welding practices to obtain good weldability
