SMO 254 alloy is the highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel that is developed for the use in seawater and other aggressive chloride bearing mediums. The steel is having the ability to resist crevice corrosion and pitting, stress corrosion cracking, general corrosion, greater strength as compared to the conventional austenitic stainless steel and good weldability.

These pipes are widely appreciated among the numbers of industrialists due to many good features it is having. These 254SMO pipes are austenitic stainless steel that is having content of molybdenum and is combined with copper and nickel alloying element that provides a combination of needed imperviousness to the hole erosion especially situations having halide particles like fluoride arrangements.
