API 5L Grade B Carbon Welded Tubes

API 5L Grade B Carbon Steel Welded Tubes are the most significant viable alloy tubes. It has a higher amount of carbon content that improves its strength and hardness. The carbon content furnishes the hardenability of welded tubes. These welded tubes contain 2% of carbon content. This grade is martensitic in nature having good weldability. It is the form of alloy having properties attained from the addition of alloying elements. In addition to the carbon content makes is it more hardenable, thus the strength is gained by performing quenching operation. These tubes have higher tensile strength; wear resistance, abrasion resistance because of the varying amount of carbon. These welded tubes have higher machinability, ductility, and higher toughness. These welded tubes are cold drawn from the standard milling operations. These tubes are forged by hot and cold working operations. Moreover, these tubes are heat treated to acquire higher strength and magnetic properties. The carbon content present on it adds hardness to the tubes and improves its wearability. These welded tubes can be directly hardened by metal treatment operations. The high levels of wrought carbon make it brittle in nature. In order to avoid oxidation, raw metal first melted and it is readily formable into the final shape. These welded tubes are used to form desired mechanical shapes.
