The specification ASTM A194 Grade 7 Nuts are used in applications that demand good performance in either high temperature or high pressure environments. This specification fasteners can also be used in those applications that require high performance in both high temperature and high pressure conditions.

The Sa 194 Grade 7 Nuts specification standard covers Quenched & tempered alloy steel heavy hex nuts. These fasteners can be constructed from various alloys that could be either medium carbon based or it could be from stainless steel. The stainless steels covered under this grade are both martensitic as well as austenitic classes of stainless steel.
